Have Some Soup. |
you can use this like a documentary of what cool is. |
Hey there. I sang you a little song. Have a nice evening.
i wanted to say good morning by sharing this partial cover of the song I posted yesterday recorded by the world’s worst microphone that makes it sound like i’m just smacking the guitar at random intervals instead of strumming it but i promise that i’m better than that it’s all the microphone i’m so talented i’m secretly both noah and the whale.
And I sing sometimes, too. Mainly to myself. Sometimes to Tumblr.
This is the cover I played on my radio show this week.
So now we're dancing through the garden
And what a garden I have made.
And now that death will grow my jasmine
I find it soothing, I'm afraid.
Now there is no need for suspicion.
There ain't no frog kissing your hand.
I won't be lying when I tell you
That I'm a gardener, I'm a man
In your eyes, babe.
I’ve been loving you forever, but I never knew your name.
[the chords are for claire, by request]
This is a cover of Jason Mraz’s “Plane.” It’s not an ideal recording, but it’s more or less the ideal scenario to post it, and I’m far too impatient to wait six or ten weeks to rerecord.
Incidentally, this is also the song I used to sing back home when I got bored while drying my hair. Which is really important and interesting. Now you know.
Only 24 hours under your touch, you know I miss you so much.
I recorded another song for you today because you look so defeated lying there in your new twin-sized bed.
(And I try not to worry, but you’ve got me terrified.)
(It’s like you’re in some kind of hurry to say goodbye.)
This is me (who?) doing an acoustic take on Stars by the xx.
Also, coincidentally, my favorite recording that I have made thus far in my life.
This is Bloodbuzz Ohio by the National, only with me playing instead of Matt Berninger and the Dessners.
I sang you another song today. It makes a few requests:
Put me in your dry dream, or put me in your wet.
ugh yes

We would all do well to keep this in mind
