Aneta Brodski, my best friend and a lady i adore and respect most is revolutionizing Deaf culture and ASL poetry. Look at what she’s sharing with the world in this film Deaf Jam, directed by Judy Lieff. This will inspire you and educate you too. She has something serious to bring to the table; I suggest you watch this trailer because i couldn’t be more proud of her and this film. YAY!
I forgot to mention that I saw this documentary on Monday and it opened my eyes to a new and amazing culture. I very much recommend seeing someone perform ASL poetry if at all possible. I’m sure it’s all over the internet, if nothing else. Beautiful!
