Post show hangs with Mr. Colbert.
I just watched this episode on Hulu (and you can too!) and it was so nice. Andrew said as much as expected, which was virtually nothing. And then he played really well (although he kept moving out of the microphone pick-up range which was sad) and I really hope he gets the Colbert Bump. Normally I am too much of a hipster to want my favorite bands to be famous, but this is different. I wish Mr. Bird every happiness and more.
Also, it made me so happy to see the monkey behind Colbert during the interview.

This has definitely been a thing lately, and we’re fine with it.
Stephen Colbert interviews Maurice Sendak.
This is the greatest interview in the history of “The Colbert Report.” (Go to our actual tumblog if you have trouble watching on the dashboard.)
I thought it was hyperbole until I watched it. (It isn’t hyperbole- watch it.)
My boyfriend sent me this picture of a young Stephen Colbert. I guess he didn’t realize that YSC (Young Stephen Colbert) is the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen and I’m clearly going to have to stare at this forever.

Audio for Terry’s interview with Stephen Colbert is now available. Enjoy!
Out-of-character Stephen Colbert is probably one of the most delightful people you could listen to. Did you know that he recently sang and acted in Stephen Sondheim’s Company? Well, now you do. And you can learn so much more if you check this out while you scroll around Tumblr, or whatever it is you do. Just sayin’.
Tomorrow: Stephen Colbert. Giddy up, cowboys. Gather your bells.
